02Why buyers want it
AI companies are building agents for recruiting work: sourcing, screening, scheduling and compliance. Job boards show the inputs; what's missing is how an experienced firm actually runs a search, stage by stage, and why candidates move forward or don't.
03What to check first
- Candidate data. CVs, notes, assessments and references are personal data, held for recruitment. Leave them out.
- Client confidentiality. Job specs, fee terms and client feedback are usually confidential to the client.
- Special category data. Health, diversity and right-to-work information needs special care and should never be in scope.
04What's usually licensable, and what isn't
05Before you apply
- List your ATS, CRM and document systems, with years of history.
- Separate firm-written playbooks and procedures from candidate and client records.
- Remove anything identifying candidates or clients.
- Check client terms of business for confidentiality clauses.
This isn't legal advice.
06Check which programmes you're likely to match
Our free fit check asks about your size, location, records and tools, then shows which programmes you're likely to match. The programme decides.
07Questions people ask
Can a recruitment agency sell its candidate database?
No. Candidate CVs, profiles and notes are personal data held for recruitment, not for licensing to AI companies. What's licensable is how your firm works.
What recruitment data do AI companies want?
Records of how searches actually run: screening and qualification playbooks, interview guides, placement workflows and compliance procedures.
