micro1 referral program explained: how company referrals work

Two micro1 referral programmes, don't mix them up:

• Candidate referrals: refer people for micro1's AI training jobs. A separate scheme, up to $3,000 per candidate.
• Company referrals: refer businesses to micro1's Company Data Partnerships. That's what this page covers.

Many figures online (including some of micro1's older posts) still say "up to $25,000". micro1's current company-referral page says "$50,000+".

01How the micro1 company referral program works

From micro1's own page:

1. Get your link. Register at refer.micro1.ai, switch to the Company section and copy your unique referral link from the Opportunities tab.
2. Share it with companies that could fit. Get consent from someone authorised at the company before you refer it (micro1's terms, §3.1).
3. The company registers itself. Your contact sets up the company profile through your link and completes a data manifest. You can't apply on its behalf.
4. micro1 evaluates. micro1's team decides whether there's a fit for a data partnership.
5. The company becomes a partner and transfers the approved data.
6. Your reward is processed after the data is transferred and approved.

02How much does the micro1 referral program pay?

These are micro1's terms, not a promise. micro1 says a reward isn't earned just because a company registers, applies or signs. The data has to be transferred and approved first. micro1 can change payout amounts at any time, and decides every referral.

03When and how are rewards paid?

After the referred company's data is transferred and approved, the reward enters micro1's payout approval process. micro1 pays by bank wire. After your first approved payout, it emails you for your bank details.

micro1 gives no fixed timeframe from referral to partnership. Its FAQ says this depends on the company's eligibility, data complexity, legal requirements and how quickly it completes each step.

04Referral link vs referral code

micro1 company referrals work through a unique referral link, not a code. For the referral to count:

• the company must register through your link;
• if the company is already in micro1's system (registered on its own or through someone else's link), it won't be attributed to you;
• attribution can't be changed manually or retroactively.

05What referrers must and mustn't do

micro1's page and terms are specific:

• Use your own email. You can't use an @expert.micro1.ai address for company outreach.
• Don't present yourself as micro1. You're an independent referrer, not an employee, agent or representative.
• Get consent before you refer a company.
• Don't apply for a company or arrange "direct introductions" instead of the official application.
• Don't promise anything. No guaranteed payouts, approvals or timelines.
• Disclose that you may earn a referral reward when you recommend the programme (the FTC expects this in the US).

06Which companies make good referrals?

micro1 says it wants established companies with 30+ full-time employees, mature operations and years of operational records, mainly in English. It prioritises the US, then other Western markets, with demand strongest in the US, UK and Canada.

You're allowed to ask a company about its size, location, years trading, tools, record types and history, and whether it controls its licensing rights. Don't judge technical fit yourself. micro1 evaluates every company.
