Licensing company data from outside the US (UK, EU, Canada, Australia)

Quick answer

Yes, non-US companies can apply to all three programmes. micro1 prioritises the US but says demand is strongest in the US, UK and Canada. Mode calls US-based teams the strongest fit and reviews other locations case by case. Most of Mercor's 24 business types say anywhere, though law, medical and imaging prefer the US and accounting is US only. Personal data sent to the US needs a transfer mechanism.

02Does location change the figure?

micro1's calculator gives lower estimates for Canada and Europe than for the US, and lower again for other markets. See what company data is worth. Mode and Mercor don't publish a regional difference.

03Sending data to the US

If the data includes personal data, sending it to a US programme is a restricted transfer under UK GDPR (and the EU GDPR). You need a mechanism such as the UK-US data bridge, if the recipient is certified, or the ICO's international data transfer agreement. See the ICO's guidance and our UK GDPR guide. This isn't legal advice.

04Check whether you're likely to match

Our free fit check asks about your size, location, records and tools, then shows which programmes you're likely to match. The programme decides.

05Questions people ask

Can a UK company sell its data to AI companies?

Yes. micro1 names UK demand, Mode reviews UK companies case by case, and most Mercor business types are open anywhere.

Is my figure lower outside the US?

micro1's calculator gives lower estimates for Canada and Europe than the US, and lower again elsewhere. Other programmes don't publish a regional difference.
